Since the year 2000 Grethe Sørensen has been working with digital weaving and she is today one of the leading artists within this field.
She works with light and movements in her designs which she processes by an extensive work with pixels, colours, yarns and new bonding technologies.
The result is unique weaved compositions which she creates with a combination of digital possibilities and many years’ experience of analogous weaving technology.
Grethe Sørensen has succeeded in expressing the contradiction between the material weight and the movement of the light.
